Mr. Venit, as president of his own company, does consulting for broadcast and cable news, coaches TV news personnel, critiques and analyzes newscasts and local programming. His work follows nearly 45 years of experience in television and radio in such roles as executive producer, managing editor, producer, anchor, and reporter. He has worked for such outlets as WTHN-TV and WNHC-TV-AM-FM in New Haven, WTIC-TV-AM-FM in Hartford, WFIL-TV-AM-FM in Philadelphia, and WRTI-FM radio at Temple University. His numerous awards include the President's Award ''For Outstanding Service'' from the Society of Professional Journalists, and the Emerson College/Radio TV News Directors Association Lifetime Achievement Award. His teaching experience includes Quinnipiac University, Albertus Magnus College, Brigham Young University, and the University of Bridgeport.
