Mr. Kovner, with over 25 years of newspaper experience, has worked the last 10 years with the Hartford Courant covering news and pursing enterprise stories out of the Courant's Middletown Bureau. Prior to the Courant, he worked for the New Haven Register, Bristol Press and the Rockland Review. He has won many awards, including the Pulitzer Prize in 1999 as part of a team of Hartford Courant reporters, photographers, editors and graphic artists who covered the Matthew Beck Lottery shootings in Newington.
