Job description:

Responsible for managing a staff of four editors, editing articles, writing articles, assigning articles to authors in the health care information technology field. Also, served as a judge for the past two years for Microsoft Healthcare Users Group annual Industry Solution's Awards.

Wife: Dawn Heckert; daughters: Joslyn Heckert-Mitchell, age 10; Gillian Heckert-Mitchell, age 6.

Memories of SCSU:

Deadline nights at the Southern News. I remember not having pages done on deadline night and we all had to lug a bunch of pages over to Lynn Mikaluk's apartment to finish the job.

Most interesting thing that's happened to you since graduation:

Meeting Bob Keesham (Captain Kangaroo), held a job for more than three years! And, of course, getting married.

Life Since Graduation:

I worked for a small daily newspaper in Upstate New York, The Catskill Daily Mail for four years; worked as a technical writer for two years and a senior account manager for two years at a workers compensation insurance company.
